Education and experience
Dr Rıdvan Sivritepe was born in Muş in January 1990. After finishing Muş Anadolu Teacher Training High School, Dr Sivritepe entered Düzce University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and graduated as a medical doctor in 2014. From September 2014 to January 2015, Dr Sivritepe worked as a general practitioner at Muş State Hospital. From February 2015 to May 2019, specialty training in internal medicine was completed at the University of Health Sciences Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital. From May 2019 to July 2021, compulsory public service was completed as a specialist in internal medicine at Beykoz State Hospital. In July 2021, Dr Sivritepe started work as a specialist in internal medicine at İstanbul Medipol University Pendik Hospital. In September of the same year, Dr Sivritepe was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at İstanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, a post still held today. To date, Dr Sivritepe has published 30 articles in journals indexed in international indexes and 3 in journals indexed in national indexes, and has taken part as a speaker or session chair in 10 different national scientific congresses. The record includes 13 oral presentations at international scientific congresses, 14 at national congresses, more than 40 poster presentations at international and national congresses, and more than 157 citations. Dr Sivritepe acts as a referee for 13 national and international medical journals, serves as Associate Editor of the international journal 'Namık Kemal Medical Journal' (indexed in ESCI), and is an editorial board member of Springer Nature's Discover Medicine, as well as a referee for 5 different BAP (Scientific Research Projects) programmes. Dr Sivritepe also took part as an investigator in the international drug trials 'PIONEER 6' and 'Sustain-11' and has attended 45 national and international medical congresses. Dr Sivritepe holds national and international 'Good Clinical Practice' certificates and served as an Observer Panellist for TÜBİTAK-ARDEB. Dr Sivritepe has written chapters in five books and edited one book indexed in WOS BKCI. In the 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years, undergraduate courses were taught to medical students at İstanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine, and the theses of 2 specialty trainees were supervised. On 22 September 2022, the title of Associate Professor in Internal Medicine was awarded. Dr Sivritepe currently works at İstanbul Medipol University Faculty of Medicine.
