Purpose of the site

Doctoria is a directory that brings together the public professional information and the scientific publications of doctors who practise in hospitals in Turkey. It is neither a health institution nor an intermediary: it does not give medical advice, does not book appointments and does not arrange treatment.

Source of the information

Information on doctors is taken from the websites of the institutions where they work, and information on publications from open academic records. Every profile states the source of each fact and the date it was taken. A change at the source may appear here with a delay; for current information, see the institution’s own page.

Ranking

On the page of a disease, doctors are ordered by the number of their publications on that disease. There is no paid placement. The number of publications shows a doctor’s academic work, not their success in treatment.

Correction and removal

If you see wrong information on a profile, use the “Suggest a correction” link on the profile or write to us. A doctor who wants their profile removed can write to us; a removed profile is not added again by later updates.
