How it works

Look for a doctor in three steps

When you receive a diagnosis, it is hard to find a doctor who has worked on that disease, and harder still when you are looking for treatment in another country. The specialty alone is not enough. Doctoria shows how much the doctors who practise in hospitals in Turkey have published on that disease.

  1. Enter the disease

Type your diagnosis or the disease you want to know about into the search box. You can also search by doctor or hospital name.

  2. Compare doctors

See side by side how many publications each doctor has on this disease.

  3. Check the source

See where each piece of information comes from. Make the decision together with your doctor.

If you are coming to Turkey for treatment

All the doctors on Doctoria practise in hospitals in Turkey. Every profile names the institution where the doctor works and links to that institution’s own page; you reach the institution there for an appointment and for treatment. Doctoria does not book appointments and does not arrange treatment.

Every fact has a source

Doctors’ names, titles, specialties and CVs are taken from the websites of the hospitals where they work. Publications come from open academic records. Every profile states the source of the information and the date it was retrieved.

How disease links are made

Which diseases a doctor works on is derived from the medical subject headings of their publications. On a disease’s page, the doctors with the most publications on it come first. A doctor without publications can be a good doctor too; the ranking shows only the number of publications.

Seen something wrong?

You can suggest a correction on every doctor’s profile. Suggestions are reviewed by an editor. Doctors can claim their own profiles and edit their CVs themselves.
