1960 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. 1978 yılında St. Georg Avusturya Lisesi’ni, 1987 yılında Viyana Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. 1988 yılında Innsbruck Üniversitesi Halk Sağlığı ABD bünyesinde Community Health Course’yi tamamladı. Askerlik hizmeti sonrası 1997 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Kardiyoloji Enstitüsü’nde kardiyoloji uzmanı oldu. Başkent Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kardiyoloji ABD’de 1988 yılında yardımcı doçent, 2003 yılında doçent olarak çalıştı. Kardiyoloji ABD Başkan yardımcısı olarak Başkent Üniversitesi Adana Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi’nin kuruluşunda rol aldı. 2007 yılından itibaren İstanbul’da özel hastanelerde kardiyoloji uzmanı olarak görev yaptı. 2013 yılında profesörlük ünvanını aldı. Ulusal ve Uluslararası kongrelerde çok sayıda sözel ve poster sunumu, ulusal ve uluslararası dergilerde makaleleri mevcuttur. Makalelerine üçyüzün üzerinde atıf yapılmıştır. 2001 yılı Metabolik Sendrom X Konulu Ulusal Bilimsel Yarışma İkincilik Ödülü sahibidi
