Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Erkmen, psikiyatri alanında uzun yıllara dayanan klinik ve akademik deneyime sahip bir bilim insanıdır. Meslek hayatı boyunca hem kamu hem de özel sağlık kurumlarında görev almış; klinik uygulamalar, akademik eğitim ve bilimsel araştırmaları eş zamanlı yürütmüştür.

Psikiyatrik bozuklukların tanı ve tedavisinde biyolojik psikiyatri ve nörobilim temelli yaklaşımları benimsemekte; hasta odaklı, bütüncül bir tedavi anlayışı ile çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir.

Halen NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi’nde psikiyatri uzmanı olarak hasta kabul etmekte, aynı zamanda Üsküdar Üniversitesi’nde öğretim üyesi olarak akademik faaliyetlerini sürdürmektedir.
