Prof. Dr. Ergün Yücel, 1980 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi’nden mezun olmuştur. 1981-1984 yılları arasında Gazi Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Ağız, Diş ve Çene Hastalıkları ve Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı’nda doktora eğitimini tamamlamış olup, 1984 yılından bu yana Gazi Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Klinik Bilimler Bölümü’nde görev yapmıştır. 2024 yılı Şubat ayı itibarıyla Üsküdar Üniversitesi bünyesine dahil olmuştur.
