Uzman Biyolog Mehtap Yanık İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Fakültesi Biyoloji Bölümünden derece ile mezun olduktan sonra İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Moleküler Biyoloji ve Genetik Yüksek Lisans programını tamamlamıştır. 2001 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi ÜYTE Eğitim Merkezinde katıldığı Embriyoloji kursu ile laboratuvar sorumlusu sertifikasını almaya hak kazanmıştır. 20 yıldır aktif olarak yer aldığı tüp bebek laboratuvarlarında mesleğini başarıyla sürdürmektedir.
